There will be a public exhibition about the future development of the former Barrington Lodge Nursing Home on Friday 24 January between 3pm and 8pm and Saturday 25 January between 10am and 2pm at the Brixton East Art Gallery, 100 Barrington Road, Brixton SW9 7JF.
This was previously due to take place this weekend but has been postponed.
The planners are keen to engage with the local community to help inform their proposals and are available to meet with individuals if this would be preferable.
On behalf of their clients Aragon Property Ventures, Indigo Planning are in the process of preparing a planning application for the redevelopment of the former Barrington Lodge care home on Barrington Road. The proposal is for the erection of a part eight, part five storey building to provide approximately 100 new private and affordable homes. The site has been vacant for 8-10 years and by bringing it back into use with a high quality residential proposal would positively contribute to the renewal of this area.
