This year, LCC is applying to take part in the Summer Give, an annual “double your donation” fundraising campaign. The Summer Give is run by the Big Give and The Childhood Trust and in the last three years has helped to alleviate the impact of child poverty for over 20,000 children during the long summer holidays. Many disadvantaged children dread these holidays as they often go hungry, are left bored out on the streets and are exposed to violence or worse.
We’re hoping to raise vital funds to ensure our project Summer of Play can run this summer and would like to invite you to support us as a Pledger.
The Summer Give is focused on charities like ours who help keep vulnerable children safe and productively engaged during the school holidays. The match funding to double donations comes from a combination of Pledgers (supporters like you) and The Childhood Trust.
We are aiming to raise £1000 in ‘pledge promises’ from our supporters which will unlock a potential £1000from The Childhood Trust. This forms our matching pot used to double online donations from the public when the campaign goes live from the 15th- 19th May.

Your donation will help to us to deliver our Summer of Play for safe and fun activities, meals and emotional support. The activities and support we will provide will enable local children to return to school ready to learn having had relief from the chronic stress of poverty.
