Higgs development thrown out thanks to local opposition

A huge thank you to all who supported our campaign to get the Higgs development thrown out. Last night the Lambeth Planning Committee refused both applications by a 6 to 1 majority on a range of grounds including overpopulation and safety of playspace and pavements. The chair said the development was asking far too much of the site.
Your free time is precious and to give it up to come to meetings, deliver flyers, make posters and spread the word about the issues is hugely appreciated.
This is a great outcome for the community. A desperate lunge to deliver housing numbers at almost any cost to the community has been countered.
We want Higgs developed but not like this. Roll on some creative thinking in the Masterplan.
