Be Enriched Job Description

Job Title: Volunteer coordinator

Responsible to: Be Enriched Management team

Line managed by: Kemi Akinola – CEO

Salary: £6000 – £7000

Hours: 14 per week

Objectives of post: • To coordinate volunteers across all the projects

Main duties and Responsibilities

  • To assist with recruiting, inducting and supporting community and corporate volunteers
  • To keep the volunteering database current and validate volunteer hours
  • To maintain systems to closely monitor volunteer activity, contributing to any monitoring or reportsto assess progress and reports to funders
  • To report to management and trustees any feedback from volunteers
  • To liaise with corporate, statutory, voluntary and community organisations to promote volunteeringopportunities and events
  • To contribute to use of social media to promote work of organsiation
  • To work with the communications team in volunteer communications and the creation of the monthly newsletter
  • To develop a volunteer community
  • To abide by the Employee Handbook and the policies and procedures of Be Enriched and to protect Be Enriched’s interests at all time.
  • To attend Be Enriched Events
  • To support with organising and delivery of Be Enriched community activities and fundraising events
  • To support Be Enriched to ensure that Child and adult at risk Protection and Safeguardingprocedures are adhered to
  • Attend supervision sessions and appraisals and contribute to meetings.
  • To undertake such other work appropriate to the post as may be assigned by supervisorPerson SpecificationMust have or be willing to get an enhanced DBS Qualifications/Experience
    • At least 1 years experience of working with volunteering and working in the community
    • Experience of maintaining effective record keeping systems and tracking progress
    • Experience of organizing and delivering events
    • English, Maths GCSE A-C or equivalent and Youth, Community, social work qualificationsWe are interested in those without formal qualifications that can demonstrate life experienceSkills and Abilities
    • Ability to liaise with colleagues from varied organisations
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with groups of people and withindividuals from a wide range of backgrounds
    • Strong computer literacy and IT skills
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the work
    • Ability to manage own workload and manage deadlines.
