Making Uncovered! Learn more about Lambeth’s makers, Saturday 13 September

Are you interested in art, craft and design? Would you like to see how beautiful objects are made? Or perhaps try it yourself?

Join Makerhood at Making Uncovered! On Saturday 13 September Lambeth’s talented makers bring their tools out to a central Brixton venue, to share their love of making with us all.

You can watch a wide range of unique crafts – rarely seen practised in public – under one roof. From African textiles to letterpress to illustration to calligraphy to woodwork to jewellery making, there’s something for everyone.

You can also learn a new skill from makers who will be running workshops on the day. Make hair conditioner, upholster a chair, make a bowl, dye an egg, print cyanotype postcards, upcycle a t-shirt…and much more!

There will also be talks, food, music and an evening party.

The main event is free, but there is a charge for workshops to cover basic costs.
